Do we see different truths in different parts of the Bible?
Or can we see God’s unchanging plan throughout the whole of Scripture?
In Numbers 23:19 we read, “God is not a man, that he should lie, nor a son of man, that he should change his mind.”
The Bible is the revealed and inspired Word of God to mankind, and an unchanging faithful God cannot contradict himself. It follows that the Bible must form a complete whole from Genesis to Revelation.
In this four-week series we shall be looking into the saying “The new is in the old concealed, the old is in the new revealed” (St Augustine), thinking about how the Bible fits together, and how the truths contained in it are consistent from the Old Testament to the New.
