The Psalms are a collection of Hebrew poems, songs and prayers, seventy-three of which are accredited to King David as author.
Whilst many of the psalms cannot be attached to any other scripturally recorded event, standing alone in terms of offering praise and worship to the Lord, many of David’s psalms include an opening that gives a reason for its writing.
Over two sessions—27th April and 22nd June—we will look at some of those psalms, seeking to find the Lord’s message for us today, through the trials and events of David’s life.
