We are always looking for volunteers and there are so many areas where help is needed, both in the house and in the magnificent gardens. Please just get in touch to see where the help is needed.

Grounds and Garden

We have a 19 acre estate that needs a team of people to help with the care and maintenance of land. Tasks include:

hedge cutting
grass cutting
tree maintenance
fences, walls, etc
pond maintenance
being willing to commit to seasonal and regular weeding, planting throughout the year

The house

In the House, there is always much to do. The maintenance and upkeep of the house is an area where people with skills and gifts in decoration, cleaning, restoring are always welcome.

Wellspring Bookshop

Wellspring Christian bookshop, situated within Pilgrims Hall, is run in partnership with Southend Christian Bookshop and stocks a wide selection of quality Christian books and magazines, CDs and DVDs, greetings cards and gift items. We can also order books and supply your Church teaching resources.

We accept major credit & debit cards as well as National Book Tokens.
