Bible Study Group – Foundations Explored

On Thursday evenings during term time, Pilgrims Hall offers an opportunity to join together for informal studies in God’s Word, exploring the Foundations of our faith.

In particular we look at how we can see Jesus in the Hebrew Scriptures, seeking to understand the Hebrew (Jewish) roots of our faith, and the depth of meaning in the original Hebrew words and names. This can open up the New Testament Scriptures in a deeper way, bui8lding our faith in an unchanging, faithful and loving God and Father.

Our studies will be in the context of what the original text meant to those who wrote it down, to those who heard or read it at the time and throughout the centuries before the birth of Jesus, and therefore what it must have meant to our Lord Jesus himself. These session will be in depth, but suitable for beginners and more mature believers alike.
